报告摘要
Many grand unified theories, especially supersymmetric, exhibit a Landau pole few orders of magnitude above the unification scale. This non-perturbative behavior could make sense if the theory flows to a interacting UV fixed point. I will show some checks for a consistency of such pattern and introduce the notion of duality, by which a non-perturbative theory could be described by an apparently different, possibly weakly coupled, theory.
嘉宾简介

Borut Bajc, is a professor at Institut Joẑef Stefan (IJS). He got his Ph.D from University of Ljubljana, and after that he joined IJS as a faculty member. His research is focused on particle physics, in particular grand unified theory, and theoretical study on the quantum field theory and supersymmetry. He has published tons of paper in PRD, JHEP, NPB, and so on.
